On May 1, in the year of Christ (our Lord) 1802

       I, Nicolaus Krammes (Nicklas Gramms) Farmer, of Mac-
ungie Township, in the County of Northampton, in the State
of Pennsylvania, am weak and sick in body, but thanks be to
God, am of a sound Mind, and considering the uncertainty
of our life, also knowing that it is decreed for man once
to die.  I therefore declare that this is my last Will
and Testament.

       Primarily, I commit my Soul into the hands of God, Who
gave this Soul to me, and my Body to the Earth to be buried
in a Christian manner by my Executors.  And, I am of the
assured Hope and Trust that God Thru His Almighty Power, on
the First Day will resurrect this Body, and unite it with
the Soul.

       Whatever, concerns my Worldly Goods, with which God has
blessed me, I give and bequeath as follows, this is my last
Will:

       First, All my Legal Accounts shall be paid in full by
my Executors, same be paid from my Estate.

       Further, I bequeath to my dear Wife, Elizabeth, annually,
thru-out her natural life, five bushels of Wheat, ten bushels
of Corn, ten bushels of Buckwheat, good clean fruit, one hun-
dred pounds of Sound Pork, fifty pounds of Beef, one Barrel
of good Cider.  The son to take the grain to the mill, and
bring back the flour and the meal to her house.  Further, two
gallons of whiskey, the fourth of the Garden, to sow one-
fourth Acre of Flax, or give her annually, ten pounds of Com-
bed Flax, and ten pounds of Good Oakum; also, annually, to
plant and to care for one-eighth of an acre of Potatoes.

       And my son, Peter, shall build on my place, for his
Mother a house, when he takes possession of the land, and to
give her a Cow of her choice from his herd, also, a Sheep,
to feed her Cow and her Sheep as if they were his own, or give
her the feed for same, as well as Firewood, chopped to size de-
sired, and bring same to her house; also, Apples for eating
and to cut into Schintz, as many as she has need of.  Her
Cow and Sheep shall also go into the meadow, when his own
are.

       My son Peter, shall give to my wife, Elizabeth, annually,
three pounds £3, of legal money (Currency).  Also a horse, if
she should need to ride one.  All, the above things shall be
given to my wife, annually, as long as she carries my name.

       Again, my Wife, Elizabeth, shall have as her own pos-
session, instead of her legal "one Third Share", two beds and
bed steads, her choice, the Kitchen Cupboard, two Tin Pans,
Four Plates, a Half Dozen of Spoons, an Iron Kettle, a Pan,
a Spinning Wheel, a Hymn Book, a Prayer Book, a Testament, a
Chest, a Chair, a Dung Fork, a Corn Hoe, as well as ten pounds,
£10, of legal money (Currency).

       Likewise, it is my last Will, and I bequeath to my son,
Peter, and to his heirs, forever, my Farm situated in Mac-
cungie, bordering on the Farm of William Hess, Carl Gackenbach,
and others.  Also, nine acres of the land I bought from Casper
Hess, touching the Farm of Johann Smith.

       Further, I bequeath to my Son, Peter, and his heirs for-
ever, all my personal goods, not taken by my wife, Elizabeth,
that was bequeathed to her.

       My Son, Peter, must give to my Son Heinrich, when he at-
tains his maturity, his twenty-first birthday, a bed and a bed
stead, a Young Mare, between two and four years old, a wagon,
also, his Weaver Tools, same to be in good condition.

       And my two sons shall build a medium priced house upon
the land, which I bought from Casper Hess, when my Son heinrich,
receives his full Legacy from my Estate.

       When my Son Peter, takes possession of my Farm, situated
in Macungie, he shall pay for this named farm the sum of £400,
Four Hundred Pounds, in yearly payments of £33, Thirty-Three
Pounds, until the above sum of £400, Four Hundred Pounds is
paid in full.  But my Son Peter, shall not take possession of
my Farm until my Son Heinrich, has arrived at his maturity.
And my two Sons shall live together after my decease, until my
Son Heinrich becomes of age.  And to pay off as much of my In-
debtedness as possible.

       Again, it is my Will, and I bequeath to my Son Heinrich,
and his heirs, forever, the land I bought from Casper Hess, ex-
cept the nine acres that I had already bequeathed to my Son
Peter, for the sum of £200, Two Hundred Pounds.  He shall pay,
annually, the sum of £17, Seventeen Pounds, until the above
named sum of £200, Two Hundred Pounds is paid in full.

       It is my Will that my two Sons shall not inherit anything
further, with my daughters, because they have received their In-
heritance in Land.

       Further, it is my Will, that my daughter Susanna, shall re-
ceive as her Inheritance, the sum of £200, Two Hundred Pounds
and my Son Peter must give her Household Furnishings to the
value of £20, Twenty Pounds.

       And my daughter Margreth, shall receive as her Lagacy the
sum of £175, One Hundred and Seventy-Five Pounds, and my Son
Peter must give her Household Furnishings to the value of £20,
Twenty Pounds.

       Also, my daughter Catharina, shall receive the sum of £175,
One Hundred and Seventy-Five Pounds as her Lagacy, and my Son
Peter must pay her the sum of £20, Twenty Pounds for Household
Furnishings.

       It is my Will and I bequeath to Elizabeth Jusin, my Step-
daughter from my Estate the sum of £25, Twenty Five Pounds,
when she reaches her twenty-second birthday, also my Son Peter,
must pay her £20, Twenty Pounds for Household Furnishings.

       And, I bequeath, from my Estate to my Step-daughter, Maria
Jusin, the sum of £25, Twenty Five Pounds, when she reaches her
twenty-second birthday, and my Son Peter must give her House-
hold goods to the value of £20, Twenty Pounds.

       My two Sons, Peter and Heinrich, shall begin to make pay-
ments, the first to be made on November 20th, 1805.  And after
that, each following Fall, a payment is to be made as stated
above on November 20th.  However, if the amount that my Sons
pay out does not reach, then shall my Executors deduct the In-
heritance of my three daughters and my two Step-daughters
from my Estate, according to their value stated.

       And I order and appoint my Esteemed Neighbor, Carl Gac-
kenbach and Jacob Diefenderfer, as my only Executors of this
my last Will and Testament, and declare all former Wills and
Testaments void and nil.

I also declare and ratify, this as my last Will and Testa-
ment, in the presence of witnesses, I sign, seal and confirm
with my own hand, the same, the day and year as made known above.
