ELMER MUMBOWER
Following a stroke of apoplexy sustained a week ago on Wednesday, Elmer Mumbower, of No. 414 Washington St., died in the Sacred Heart hospital at 2 o'clock a. m. Friday, aged 56 years. He was born in New Tripoli and for thirty-three years had been a resident of Mauch Chunk before making his home in this city. He followed the occupation of railroading nearly all his life for several years being the conductor of a freight and later a passenger train on the Central Railroad of New Jersey. His widow, nee Emma M. McDaniel, and one son, Harry J. Mumbower survive, as does one brother, Oliver Mumbower, of Buffalo, N. Y. The deceased was a member of the railroad Conductor's Union, No. 153, of Mauch Chunk, and Lodge No. 1006, I. O. O. F., of East Mauch Chunk. Burial will be made in Mauch Chunk and funeral services held at a time to be announced later.

M. AMANDA PETTIT
M. Amanda, widow of C. Robert Pettit, died at her home in Palmerton yesterday, aged 79 years and 16 days. The following children survive: Myrtle, at home; Mrs. T. F. Walker, Wilkes-Barre, Theodore and Harvey, Bowmanstown; Chas. and Howard, Palmerton. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Maggie Snyder and Mrs. C. J. Montz, Parryville; Mrs. Bast, Bath, N. Y.; Frank Rinker and Robert Rinker, Parryville; Oliver Rinker, Hazelton, and A. A. Rinker, Bath, N. Y. The deceased had been an invalid for four years. The funeral will take place from her late home, 233 Lafayette Ave., at 9:30 o'clock on Tuesday morning. Regular services will be held in the Parryville Methodist church, and interment will be made in the Parryville cemetery.

EDWARD M. KLAUGH
Taken suddenly ill from a heart attack, at 11:45 yesterday morning, Edward Miles Klaugh, son of Joseph and Mary E. nee Belford, Klaugh, fell to the floor of his home, where he had been playing, and died before the arrival of Medical assistance. He was aged 4 years, 11 months and 10 days. Besides the parents, the child is survived by two sisters and a brother: Verna M., Hilda T. and Elwood J. Klaugh, all at home. The child had been in his apparent good health all of yesterday and had been playing about his home. But a few minutes before he was stricken he had remarked to his father that he should remain home for the afternoon and play with him. This the father said he would be glad to do but that he must return to work. A few seconds later the boy fell to the floor in what was believed to be a faint.. Last evening arrangements were made for the funeral, which will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of the boy's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Belford, 824 Chestnut street. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery.

MRS. JOHN MONTIETH
Peritonitis following confinement caused the death yesterday afternoon of Emma Beatrice, wife of John Montieth, aged 17 years. She was the daughter of Nelson and Ellen Ash and was a native of Phoenixville. The baby was born one week ago at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Schaeffer. 1114 Maple street, with whom the young couple resided. Mrs. Montieth was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and is survived by the parents, husband and baby, Nelson, William and two brothers, Charles and Harvey. Funeral services will be held at the late home Monday evening at seven o'clock by Rev Dreher. Tuesday morning the remains will be taken to Phoenixville where interment will be made in Morris cemetery.
